Family is forever

A family is far more than just a ''social group consisting of two parents and their children living together as a unit''. It is more than people who just exist together and who see each other every single day. The family is everything we have. The family is the meaning of life.

You might disagree with me, but let me share my point.

If it was not for my family, I do not know where would I have been in life. Often people who live in dysfunctional families think that family is not the best thing that can happen to you. And, I totally understand that. But, it is.

When one family is loving, caring and supportive- frankly, that's all one person needs in life.

Having people that love you regardless of how bad you can be sometimes, how negative and unwilling you can get - they are still around. Those people love you unconditionally and believe in you, sometimes, more than you believe in yourself.

I should know this the best.

Truth be told, sometimes I stop and think how lucky I am. I have a loving mother and father, and two incredibly smart and ambitious siblings - Rasheem and Princess. We were born and raised in a household where nothing was ever forbidden, I am proud to say we was led to follow the right path in life.

It never ceases to amaze me how blessed we are, to be given a chance to be raised properly in the first place. Nowadays I work at a job that requires me not to be at home a lot as an adult man. Most of the time I am far away from my family members since some of us live in separate homes, and it truly makes me sad.

But, believe me, when I say - nothing compares to the feeling of coming back home to your people. Why? Because you know someone is eagerly waiting for you to come back. And there is no greater feeling than that.

My family is truly my everything. Nothing can ever be more important than their happiness and wellbeing.

We care about each other and share goals, values, and support. I may not be around them that often, and I may not be involved in the online world as much as the rest of my family is, but I am their biggest supporter.

Because at the end of the day - that's what family is.

Nothing can compare to it. It is not a place. It is not people. It is a feeling.
